Sunstreak isn't the most beautiful cat in all the Clans -- nor will she ever be. But she's not the ugliest, either. It all depends on how you measure beauty. If one measured it in structure, and their type was small and petite, then Sunstreak would indeed be very beautiful to them. Her head is beautifully rounded, narrowing out by her maw. Two small triangular ears are perched atop her skull. Her body form is slim, not overly so, and helps her run swiftly and silently. Her legs are of normal length, leading down to small dainty looking paws. Her maw carefully nests sharp white dagger-like teeth. Hidden between her toes are hooked claws, a weapon she often uses on prey. Her tail is overly long and if she isn't careful she could offend someone by accidentally hitting them with it.
However, sometimes some base beauty on coloring of the fur and eyes, as well as length. In this section Sunstreak really takes after her name. Her eyes are a brilliant emerald green. Black fur covers her tail, apart from the ginger tip. Her paws, despite popular beliefs of them being a dark brown, are actually a dark gray. Her left eye is ringed with black, the right with copper. Brown covers most of her right hind-leg, broken only by white dashes. Her ears are completely ginger. Sunstreak's chest, back, belly and face are snow white. Her fur is short with the exception of the longer tail-fur.

Sunstreak has her heart in the light, but she often has moodswings -- something that can become very scary. Her mood depends on whether or not she's had a good day.
Sometimes you may find Sunstreak to be a unsocial creature. During these times she's often seen by herself, staring into space or snapping at others. Sometimes she may coolly ignore those who anger her, or immediately snap from just seeing their face.
Other times, though, Sunstreak can live up to her name. Even though she's always sharp-tongued and not really gentle whilst advising others, she can be very gentle. She adores kits, and hopes for some of her own. She's fun to be around on a good day, joking about everything and playing around. She takes the time to train apprentices and play with kits, as well as talk to the queens and elders -- who she seems to get along great with.
Sunstreak can sometimes find it hard to express her feelings. During these times she often reacts with anger -- anger directed at herself. She often thinks that she's 'sympathetically challenged', since she can't really seem to sympathize with others.

Before we start my story, why don't you meet my family? My parents are dead, though they were Freeice and Blacknight. I have an aunt, Rainpuddle, who is barely older than me. I have one brother the same age as me, Freedomflight, two younger brothers, Whisperpaw and Brightpaw, and a younger sister, Stormpaw. I have a sister that is the same age as me as well -- Silentnight. Sadly, though, Rainpuddle resides in EastClan with Freedomflight and Whisperpaw.
The story started with three cats -- Rainpuddle, Freeice and Blacknight. All were of the same Clan, all were elite warriors of WestClan. Freeice was mated to Blacknight and pregnant with his kits. Rainpuddle, who had always felt 'not-at-home' with WestClan, wondered if one of the kits would be like her. In fact, one turned out to be almost exactly like her in personality: Freedomkit. The other two kits, Sunkit and Silentkit, were happy in WestClan. Though it pained the kits and the parents, they let Freedomkit and Rainpuddle leave for EastClan.
Sunkit was a strong kit, destined to be an elite warrior. Her best friend as a kit was Silentkit -- who, despite her healthiness, was believed to be destined for laborership because she was mute. Thus, many -- except for the family -- were surprised when Sunpaw and Silentpaw became apprentices, the first as an elite the second as a warrior.
They were given to sister mentors who trained them side-by-side. They were patient with the young ignatius apprentices, answering questions and teaching through helpful critique. Sunpaw had the gift of hot claws, whilst Silentpaw was an eternal sparks user. They were sixteen moons old, an elite and warrior, when their parents had their second litter of kits.
Whisperkit, Brightkit and Stormkit were the names of the kits, two toms and a she-cat. Two moons later Freeice and Blacknight died of illness and Whisperkit, after pleading with his two guardians, was taken to EastClan to be cared for by Rainpuddle and Freedomflight. When the kits turned six moons old they were trained to be warriors, and WestClan was in need of a deputy. Sunstreak was chosen as the leader's successor and second-in-command as deputy.

Weak dawn sunlight shone upon the WestClan lands. It was already slightly warm on the prairie that the WestClan cats called their home. A cool breeze, smelling of rabbit and sweet herbs, rolled over the vast almost tree-less grassland. Many would just be waking up, with the exception of the dawn patrol. The dawn patrol usually consisted of three to four cats who stalked around their territory, marking borders and generally making sure everything was okay. The dawn patrol was often chosen by the deputy, as were all the other patrols. The patrol that morning happened to be a close-knit family consisting of the deputy, Sunstreak, a warrior, Silentnight, and two warriors-in-training, Brightpaw and Stormpaw.
The deputy, a small structured pretty she-cat with brilliant emeralds for eyes and a coat consisting of the colors of spring, placed her tail atop her younger sister's shoulder. "See that field there, Stormpaw? That's the Shifting Field, where we go for Gatherings.
The youngest she-cat, a pretty gray eyed gray furred apprentice, nodded. She didn't mention to her sister that she already knew about the Gatherings, that she had known about them since she was first apprenticed. She smiled, soaking in all the information Sunstreak gave her and Brightpaw, her brother, as they renewed the scent markers.
Brightpaw, the only male in the WestClan branch, looked up at his other older sister -- Silentnight. He flinched, remembering how many had thought she would be a laborer due to her disability -- muteness. He growled deep in his throat, attracting the attention of the beautiful golden she-cat, who smiled at him in her silent comforting way.
Sunstreak paused by the EastClan border, staring over it with a longing expression. Finally, though, they had to leave.
There was no reason to start a war simply because the cats missed their family.
