T H E R i V E R B E D

There is one large dip in the ground which is in a half-pipe shape. This place is a dried river bed, nearly about nineteen fox-lengths across. It's a was a wide river that no longer exists... until one of the many unpredictable storms and floods where the river bed fills quickly and rushes along. There are ways across that many sharp-eyed cats discover, but it takes much skill to get across when filled with water. Only when it's dry can you find prey among the roots and tiny green plants among the stones and rocks.
